New Venture House Brooklyn Housing Program – Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting 9/21

COVID-19 Response

Dear Venture House Community,

Due to COVID-19, Venture House has taken many precautions to ensure the safety of our community. We will continue to provide support and services throughout the duration of this unprecedented crisis as is appropriate and safe, following CDC and City guidelines. We require all who enter our buildings to wear a facemask and keep proper physical distance. We are taking the temperature of every person who walks through our doors and administering a COVID questionnaire screening. Through closely monitoring COVID cases in our state, city and local communities, we are continuously discerning when/if it is safe to serve meals in the Clubhouse and allow space for indoor dining. Our ultimate goal is to keep our doors open and to continue providing the in-person programming and community that is pillar to Venture House. We are grateful for your understanding and adherence to our COVID-19 response and protocol.

To accommodate those who are unable to physically be in the Clubhouse, we continue to facilitate hybrid programming for much of our day to day schedule. We encourage members to reach out to staff and one another if they need assistance accessing the Zoom meeting id’s for any of our virtual offerings. Click here for the staff contact list.

If you feel overwhelmed, or need help coping outside of 9-5, you can contact NYC Well, a confidential 24/7 helpline, staffed by trained counselors. They can provide brief counseling and referrals to care in over 200 languages and other resources. Call 888-NYC-WELL (888-692-9355), Text “WELL” to 65173, or chat at nyc.gov/nycwell. You can also contact the disaster distress helpline at 800-985-5990 or text Talkwithus to 66746.

Stay healthy, stay safe and be well. We are in this together and your Venture House community is here to support you!
